Back-up GPS combination for Old Voyager B/W replace?
I've got the rig you see below, and it came with a black & white Voyager back-up (no side views) that works fine. I really wish I had a GPS so I am wondering if there is an upgrade that I could fit into that spot and plug/play with my existing camera? I am OK to upgrade the camera too, but do not want to deal with running new wires. Would appreciate if anyone knows if such a beast exists.

There are many options available to you, according to how handy and how much you want to spend. I had a 5" CRT B&W rear camera system. I took out the CRT and replaced it with a 7" color monitor. ($34) I then added a right side camera I mounted in the right side mirror pedestal. ($7) I've also replaced the rear B&W camera with a color camera that was mounted in a license plate holder. ($11) I took it out of the plate holder and put it in the sealed box the original B&W camera was in. All components from Ebay. It wasn't hard to install, I cut the non-matching connections off the already installed wiring to the rear camera and spliced on the connections that came with the new components. Not a difficult modification, and much cheaper than dedicated RV back-up systems. The side view camera is easy to switch to with the touch of a button on the monitor that switches camera inputs. I plan to wire it to work with the right turn signal, I just haven't done it yet.
I use a Garmin GPS, I don't see the need to integrate the camera and the GPS, I have lots of real estate on the dash to have separate systems. I can upgrade the GPS if I wish in the future and don't have to also change out the monitor.

My biggest concerns with combination units are updating, and what happens if one part goes south.

+ One F&B, I second the standalone units. Less costly to replace, upgrade, or repair a singe unit than the combo taking out multiple systems at one time. I used to be a fan of dealer GPS units till this new MH. Now I use a Rand RV unit and love it.

Thanks guys, makes sense. I will go separate. I would love to hook it up as BFlinn did, but I really doubt I have the time (or skills) to pull that off!
