bad storm tonight

After a bad storm tonight, I found that the inverter breaker had tripped, and so had the gfi in the bathroom. After I reset them, everything works except for the microwave. What goes?

When you say inverter breaker are you referring to the AC breaker in your breaker box or the breaker on the inverter itself. I know my inverter has three push button type breakers on it one input and two outputs. Could one of those be tripped?

Usually the microwave is on a circuit all by itself. Have you checked your circuit breakers for any that are tripped?

Did you check for power at the microwave plug.? Would hate to think something killed your microwave.

The wiring for inverters has a separate breakers for the circuits on the inverter. Mine does. A separate breaker box and it isn't even close to the main breaker box but on the ceiling in a forward compartment. It has two breakers, one for the microwave and one for all the other outlets receiving power from the inverter. If yours is similar, find those breakers to see if the microwave breaker tripped.

That is often overlooked when losing Microwave power, as some dis-assembly is required to replace the fuse.

Thanks everyone. We reset the inverter and the kitchen came back except for the mw. It so happens we are at the factory getting repairs. The plug and receptacle are fried as well as the mw. More bad news for the service contract co.!!!
