I doubt the seller paid $2600. THey just said the normal retail is 2600.
It is possible to find parts priced that low.
Call Banks and see if they still have this part number and how much it is after the 8.1 engine prouduction has now stopped.
You might seem them 50% off at that site.
Many times retial is just used as in
"Retail $2600 buy now for $1999" And they probibly sold that way from day one.

If the location is not in the US and the seller has less that ~100%, it is probably a scam.

I see the add, or one like it for $850. Seller has 100%, but only 1 feedback. Probably his cousin. I wouldn't buy it. Even if you use PP and a credit card, it's a hassle to get your money back.

I would go thru a reptile dealer. Like Brazel`s Brazel's RV Centralia Washington or Banks them-self Banks PowerPack System - 49560 | Banks Power Products I am happy with the banks set-up along with the Ultra-Power. Good luck JP

I don't know why you want to change your exhaust but headers and cold air intake alone will give you a little noticable power at higher RPMs but hardly any fuel milage. I have an 05 MH on an 04 work horse chassis that has 3" dual exhaust. At 2k to 3k RPM which is the normal working rpm for the 8.1 this exhaust system is more than adequate. The chassis has a cold air intake from the factory but I think the Banks cold air system would be an improvment although at mostly wide open or near wide open throtle. When making changes take every thing into concideration such as a 10% increase in fuel economy on a good running 8.1 would be .8 MPG or less increase or less and you would have to drive a lot of miles to get your money back.

I agree with ^^^. Keep in mind, these places that advertise up to XX% increase in power, mean that if you also add a performance cam, exhaust, intake, muffler, up the compression and change the manifold, you might get that % of power increase.

Thanks for all the info. The only reason I'am looking to change out the exhaust system is due to a rust problem. Everything from the muffler back is pretty well shot and needs replaced. I just looking at my options and the best and cheapest way to make this repair. Thanks again.

Let us know if you get a muffler that flows better and doesn't drone.
