basement stereo

I want to put a stereo in basement for playing music and amplify tv sound. I am looking for ideas to do this as the tv is in our first door behind the entry way. I have the unit which I can play MP3 player and other devices. We have the tools to make a suitable cabinet. Go Gators

Well, I think you probably have two choices about how to go on this one.

The conventional method might be like you would do in your house. An amplifier with multiple inputs and a couple of speakers. You would need to have your normal household current available but you probably already have that for you TV.

You also could take a look at a sound bar. Sort of a one stop solution and some of them sound pretty good. Your TV becomes the source for all things however.
