batteries

I have a 2007 National RV 1321. I just replaced the batteries and I cant get power to my disconnect switch. Is there a secret to changing batteries? Everything was working when I replaced the batteries and I diagramed all wiring so I am positive they are hooked up properly.

If you measure 12 +vdc at the cables on the battery, follow the positive cable back to the fuse block and check the connections and fuse. Make sure the battery disconnect is turned on and that current does flow through it. Good luck and keep us posted.

Chances are you momentarily shorted cables or reversed a connection and the circuit breaker or fuse in the charging system opened up. If you have a converter/charger, look for a pair of fuses (may be on the back side) that may be blown. If an inverter/charger, it probably has a pushbutton circuit breaker on the front.
