Batteries
Just got back from a trip with my 2017 35 K Bounder and connected it to 50 amps .. A couple of day and the chassis battery was down to 8 amps and I connected my battery charger in and the battery sys. went dead. I tried the discount switches and nothing. I found the chassis distribution box but I can not get it open, I got the slide on the end to pull forward but box did not open. Any suggestions, please.. Is there a fuse for the battery some where? Are the 4 latches on the box keep it from opening? Any suggestions will be helpful. I left the battery charger on. Just waiting for help or Tue to call FW. THANKS

8 Amps or 8 Volts?
At 8 Volts you have one or more cells that are not doing anything. To bring them back use something like an old style headlight bulb in series with the battery to the charger to push some current through the battery without collapsing your charger. I'd be looking for 2-3 amps to start. As the dead cells come back up the current will drop off.
At 10 volts or more you can connect your charger directly. At that point you can also troubleshoot your charging problem. I'd guess you had the storage relay open but it needs to be closed to charge the system when on shore power. That is a first thing to check guess, not a guaranteed answer.

Dog3-
Pages 31-33 of your coach's owners manual describe what to do when the chassis battery appears dead. Have you tried the procedure in the manual?

All these FW/AC coaches are different when it comes to what is charging what. FWIW, here's how mine work:
- When plugged into shore power. Coach batteries are charged. When that charge reaches 13.3, the system lets the charge pass through the coach batteries and the chassis batteries are charged, as long as that charge rate is 13.3 or higher.
- When driving. Chassis batteries are charged. When that charge reaches 13.3, the system lets the charge pass through the chassis batteries to the coach batteries and the coach batteries are charged as long as the charge rate is 13.3 or higher.
It might not make sense, but that's how it works.

On my 08 35E Bounder , the BCC ( battery control center ) was in the first passenger side basement compartment. Here's a photo of the inside. At the lower left are two 12v circuit breakers ( two little black buttons ). You may need to reset them.

Batterys
Thanks Clifftall , I had called FW and that is what they told me to do. It fixed the problem but I still have a small drain on the battery and I do not think it is charging the chassis battery,, Any suggesting on how to test if it is?

You're welcome. How long has it been since you reset those breakers ? It takes time to recharge drained batteries.

Not all battery chargers can charge a battery that is down to 8 volts (dead). Take them to a service station, they should be able to do it.
