Russ,

Your setup looks the same as mine. Since it charges both the house and chassis, wonder how the Q4 will respond to that or if that presents an issue.

I've been using my IOTA 55 with the IQ4 and have 2 voltage sensing relays, for 8 years.

No dead batteries as long as 13.2 volts is met.

Called IOTA tech and they said IQ4 module will work just fine.

Unplugged the RV and waited a day to check the batteries, today
they checked out fully charged, so problem solved.

Thanks,
Russ

I just got it today, just plugs into the dual voltage jack with a foot long section of phone line.

Ordered it here and got it 2 days later.

Easy install I have been monitoring mine and it seems to work great.

Visited the coach today, voltage was 13.9 and flashing light indicated absorption phase of charging. I thought this phase only lasted 8 hours. Not sure what is going on as I was expecting to see a solid light indicating float charge since the coach has been plugged in since Thursday.

The IQ4 paperwork says that absorbsion is 14.2 volts and float is 13.6 volts. Your in between them.

You could try checking the volts right at the charger. There could be some loss's in the wiring between it and the batteries.

If that's the case it may be dropping to float, reading low voltage and going back the absorbsion.

When I first plugged it in, it was at 14.2 as I recall. I was thinking something similar but am now wondering if I just happen to check it when it switched from absorption to float and the battery voltage had fully come down to the float level. Prior to installing the IQ4, the float voltage was definitely less than 13.9.

One other thought, my house batteries are six years old and could be showing some age, I.e., might be time for replacement.
