Battery Disconnect ??

I have just purchased a 2002 Fleetwood Expedition. The manual says it has a battery disconnect up under the hood on the drivers side firewall....I can not come up with any disconnect under there or anywhere for that matter. The coach is loaded so I would think it would have that option. Any help or advice would greatly appreciated. This is a great website!! Thanks!!

The relays are probably located in a metal electrical about a foot square. Have someone operate the disconnect switch, or turn the key on and off. You will hear the relays clicking.

Are you looking for the actual disconnect relay, or the switch that operates it? Also, you should have two disconnects, one for the chassis battery and one for the house battery(s). The one on the firewall is probably for the chassis battery and may be a manual switch rather than remote controlled. The house disconnect should have a switch inside the coach near the entry door.

You said "hood", but the Expedition is a rear diesel, right? The chassis disconnect will almost certainly be in the back, adjacent to the engine. Are you looking inside the rear engine hatch or somewhere else?
