Battery disconnect for the "house"...

...seems to have failed. I can't get power for the house circuits.

I believe there is a solenoid that is activated by a switch on the small panel at my entrance door.

Where is that solenoid located and what does it look like?

Please post what kind of Class A coach you have. This will help with your issue.

Normally there is a Battery Control Center that has the relays. It is usually somewhere up front but without knowing the kind of coach you have we can't tell where it might be.

I have a different rig but my solenoid is located in my forward roadside compartment with all the 12v coach fuses. Mine failed too, and some guy in the campground came over and jumped across it. Now it's on all the time, which is better than off all the time. Very simple, if you need I can send you a picture of the jumpered solenoid. I'm having it replaced on the next mx appointment.

I'd really like to see a picture of yours.

I found a solenoid and bypassed it, but the solenoid was for the two battery charging system and it didn't solve the problem.

I just can't find any other solenoid.

This might help

I searched for hours until I ran across this. perhaps that is your problem. Most techs and people don't know this including some of the techs at Thor.

.IN THE BATTERY CONTROL CENTER LOCATED ON THE FIRE WALL ---UNDER THE HOOD --SHOULD BE RIGHT OF CENTER AND WILL SAY BATTERY CONTROL ON THE FACE --TAKE OFF THE LID YOU WILL SEE FUSES ---YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RESETTABLE BREAKER USUALLY ON THE BOTTOM LEFT ---THIS BREAKER IS ABOUT 1.25 X.75X.75 INCHES IN LENGTH ON ONE END WILL BE A SMALL BUTTON (ABOUT THE SIZE OF A MATCH HEAD ) THIS NEEDS TO BE PUSHED IN TO RESET ---THIS WILL ALWAYS TRIP WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES ---USE YOUR FLASHLIGHT AND I PROMISE YOU THAT IT IS THERE ---MANY PEOPLE SWEAR THAT IT IS NOT IN THEIR CONTROL CENTER ---BUT IT IS --JUST A BIT HARD TO FIND .

Your very Welcome. The same thing happened to me, and I was about to tear my hair out. I called and searched and finally found a thread on a obscure Q & A Forum. I posted this somewhere on this forum I think and another forum warning people about this problem. I have never found the information in any of the manuals regarding this.
