Battery drain,damon astorea 3773(2007)
Can anyone help,
When I put a meter on the positive lead I have around a 2.5-2.75 amp drain on my leisure battery(its a new battery) with everything turned off inside the camper(the two chassis batteries hold they charge)ie if i go to bed at 11.00pm with the leisure battery topped up to12.5volts showing on the reader in the camper when you get up at 8.00am it will show 7 or 8 volts on the reader...........what is the drain?and how can I stop it?
Cheers mark.

I've never heard of the term "leisure" battery. Is this the main coach/house battery, and if so, is there only one? When you say everything is turned off, is this including the inverter and possibly a residential type refrigerator?

Try turning off inverter, to see if that makes a difference

Turning off the switchs of the converter or inverter may only be disconnecting the AC voltage.
Look for battery cables from the two items and disconnect them as a test.

You may be able to locate the drain by checking the fused wire of each circuit for current flow. If not, you could pull the fuses one at a time to see if it impacts the rate of drain. I would also check the battery to be sure it is able to hold a charge with out being connected. I hope this helps.
