Battery shut offs

I have a 2005 Fleetwood Discovery 39S 330 Cat. I want to install battery shut-off switches for the coach and house batteries. Does anyone have good info. or where to find it? Thank you.

Mr. Coach, I think few motorhomes do not have shut off switches. My Bounder (Fleetwood) has two switches above the door....one for the chassis and the other for the house batteries...I will bet they are there close by the door.

Mine has two main switches next to battery bay, one for chassis (also drives door steps), another for coach. I would think yours is not a low end coach there should be those in somewhere. My neighbor has a class C, he installed a battery cut-off, IMSW he said he bought it from Camping World.

There should be two separate cut off switches in your battery compartment, one for the coach and one for the chassie

Batt Swich

Yes I have two shut-offs inside, but they do not really shut it completely down. When I park it in the winter inside a 50 degree storage the batts will go dead. I would like to put shut-offs by the batteries. Looking at all the wires it does not look easy for the engine batts. If someone has the same coach please let me know.
Thanks for all the replys

Yes, you should already have these switches but as you are asking about sepatate cut of switches for your coach and house, I will try to address that.
The one for the chassis will need to be able to pass the highest current required usuallt the starter. You need a switch similar to this:
720 - Heavy Duty Battery Switch

the one for the house battery(s) will also have to be able to pass the highest current required, a lot less then the coach one. One similar to this would suffice.

I had the same concern so I use these:
Universal Battery Terminal Disconnect Switch cut off power Link Automotive Truck | eBay
cheap, simple (like me).
Search youtube for videos on how it works.
P.S. They are attached to the battery ground wire - , not the +)

Dieselcoach, look at the engine bay. My 2005 fleetwood battery disconnect is there for the chassis. It is a silver metal switch that turns about 90degrees.

Boats use a battery isolation switch that requires a red plastic key to rotate the switch 90 degrees. They are a heavy duty switch as they are often used in launches with diesel engines. You could source them from a marine supply store.

Battery switch

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping someone had done it and had pics as the coach batteries have a ton of wires. I have figured out the house batteries. I own a marine store so I can get the switch. Also when i click on one of your suggestion posts it goes to a different place and not to what you put in. How do I navigate to the sights people post.
Thanks
