Beaver auto winterization
We are in the process of having a Beaver Monterey Laguna inspected and hopefully finishing the purchase soon. The seller has shown us the original invoice and it includes a line item option called "auto winterization" for $499.
Anyone have an idea what this could be? I know coaches with regular water heaters have bypass valves in the wet bay but this has Hydro-heat system.

I found this finally. Doesn't sound as nice as it could be.

I don't see how it could automatically drain the hot water tank, then bypass it. Interesting, I have never heard of such a thing.

Thanks, spdracr39. I have a better idea of what it is now and it sounds like more trouble than it's worth. Just not sure what the benefit is of a built in container for the pink stuff. Especially for $499!

Maybe this feature is only for coaches with hydronic heat where there is no tank as such.

Yes, I am not familiar with that system. Seems like they have lots of things to go wrong with them, but a nice system.

It was an option on our MH. Once I learned by experience how to use it, it is easy to use.By the time the water heater is drained, the rest of my plumbing is winterized.
As stated it is not completely automatic, you must drain the water heater yourself, and have the 2G RV anti-freeze tank full, only then is it automatic. There are 2 switches inside to bypass the water heater and another to energize the winterizing feature.
The Splendide washer must be winterized per Splendide instructions, even though the inlet hoses receive RV anti-freeze from the automatic winterizing tank.
