Been in warm weather too long!

I live in Southern Cal where it never gets cold so when I was in Mammoth over the weekend where the temperature dropped below freezing, I didn't even think about running the block heater or aqua hot heater and tried to start my kitty CAT cold. Boy that was a mistake! She didn't like that one bit.......

I guess I snowbird in a different Southern California, where exactly is the one that never gets cold?
4 consecutive nights with frost, in Jan 2012, at beautiful downtown Parker Dam. Granted temps are up, enough for a round of golf by 10.

88 in Parker Dam today , 100 on Fri, is forecast, has been running in triple digits for most of the month, Jan. is a different story; high 60's to mid 70's and dry that's good enough for me.
