Berkshire 38rb vs Palazzo 36.1

We are going from a 5th wheel to a class A. We think we have narrowed it down to either a 2015 Berkshire or 2015 Palazzo both about 150000.00

I like the Palazzo because it is shorter but have heard bad stories about Thor. The Berkshire is longer which my wife likes but I don't know to much about Berkshire and it has cable slides.

Any comment would be helpful

If possible, go to the effort to see and test drive them both - it's worth the time for the purchase your about to make! I prefer the Palazzo as my signature suggests. Having spent a few days at the Hershey show this month, we went through a whole bunch of Berkshires and Palazzos and just an opinion the materials, fit and finish come in better on Palazzos. And way better than FR Legacy. Enjoy the hunt and best wishes. Send pics of whichever coach you get!

Just remember two things when reading the Thor horror stories. First is that Thor has a very large marketshare, therefore a much larger opportunity for mistakes and failures. Second is a person is much more likely to take an opportunity to criticize a product as opposed to praise the same.

My coach has 1,001 moving parts. Some built by Thor and the vast majority not. These things are much more complicated than the racecars I have built and many more hands have touched this coach and more probably in the first two days than touched the last BGN car I built, including sending it out for the finishing body work and painting.

I didn't like the "basement storage" on the Palazzo when we saw them. Big "open bay" doors on the Berkshire vs compartment doors on the Palazzo. Much easier to get stuff in/out. And with a family, lots of stuff is usually "required".

I wouldn't touch a pre-2017 Thor with a 10 foot pole, but someone seems to have woken up over there, because the newer ones seem to be a step above the earlier models.
