We recently purchased a Tiffin Allegro RED 33. It is actually 35' and has a great floor plan, high quality finishes and very good reported reliability. We purchased a 2013 model that the previous owner traded in after 10 months for a larger model Tiffin coach so we got a really good price on it. I didn't think we could afford to go for a pusher diesel but am really excited that this worked out.

IMO - what makes up the "best" MH.
- one the right size with the floor plan that fits your needs and wants.
- one that is within your price range.
- one that has few defects (no defects would be ideal but unrealistic).
- one that has a solid manufacturer behind it.
- one that has a dealer who will support you for any issues.
- one that is affordable to run and maintain (within your budget).
Does such a unit exist? I believe it does and I hope everyone is able to acquire such a unit.

Because there have been 40+ posts, (and 40+ varying opinions of what is the best class A diesel), I have reached the concluded that the "BEST" is in the eye of the BEER holder.

I would stay away from the Palazzo

I'll second the remark "one that has a solid manufacturer behind it" third, "one that has a dealer who will support you for any issues." This is spot on. We've been fortunate, had a manufacturer that solved issues, however the dealer was just so so. Knowing what I know now I would have paid a bit more to have a respectable high quality dealer. If I'm spending hundreds of thousands dollars I want fair, competent, knowledgable, professionals handling my every legitimate need. Hard to find but their out there!

Clayobx - that is the most reasonable statement. I agree with it. Often we hear about people who want to spend a dollar (grudginly) and expect $10 value.

I own a palazzo and its fine. The one that is my choice is the itasca meridian 36m. The Winnebago products seem to be built better and have better components. Guess that's why they cost more.

If you're really serious about getting the best, take some factory tours. We toured them all and would narrow the field to three. First is ForeTravel then ARG(Fleetwood) and last Newmar. All of the others fall into a medium to lower class coach category.
