We also have the lucite, unbreakable wine glass where the base and stem unscrew and snap over the top of the glass bowl for travel. We actually try to eliminate glass from the MH wherever possible. Boxed wine travels better, too. \ken

We keep the wine glasses upside down in the cupboard with other glasses and coffee cups. With non skied Matt from Walmart under all. Never a broken glass in two years and 14 years in the fiver. The wine rides in the wine cellar in case boxes with the cardboard dividers from a liquor store. Works great. If we didn't have Koni shocks we would need plastic glasses also. Wine glasses are so cheap at Walmart, who wants to drink out of plastic. The only way we break them is by dropping them or something.

They sell fancy hard shell travel cases (much like the one SarahW linked to) for 1 or more bottles, 2-4 glasses and cork puller (don't forget the aerator!) for a reasonable price. I'm told they work good for tailgaters too....

We just use the plastic stemless wine glasses. Easy to store, but still feel nice to hold and drink from. I do use ceramic mugs for the coffee. I store them on a non skid mat and then put a layer of bubble wrap between them for travel , mostly so they don't clink around!

We no longer attend nor conduct cotillions and such.
Why have the special glasses if you dont have the rest of the accoutrements?
Or is it all about the celebratory "clink"?
