I drove around Texas a couple years ago with a right front tire with a slow leak. I could not find a truck stop with good air compressor capacity to bring it up to the proper pressure. Most were either broken or didn't have enough pressure.

Got to Branson, Mo. and went ot Home Depot and bought the above. Love it!! It now resides in my front bay and I use it all the time.

i am using a lowes brand Kobalt 1.5-HP 3-Gallon 155-PSI 120-Volt compressor. very happy with it.

Like Country, I bought a Kobalt 8 gallon 150 PSI compressor from Lowes. It's not small but packs a nice punch for approx $150. My 2 cents.

I purchased a high pressure (up to 150 psi) made for rv's etc from Harbor Freight. I've used it a couple of times and so far so good. I know the reputation of HF but for $60 it is worth the money. Hooks up to the 12 volt batteries, has hose and fittings and fits into a carrying case. It is small and goes into one of my underneath bins.

Just a follow-up to the thread . . . Home Depot has a 150 psi pancake compressor for $99 for sale for their week long Black Friday sales. It available now at my Home Depot and I think it is available until Dec. 2nd.

Same here. The Viair 400P RV is a great unit. Pricy but seems to be a high quality unit. I like the fact it cycles off when not using it.

Question for the folks with the pancake compressors.
How noisy are they?

My son has a medium size oiless compressor (10gal tank), and i think it makes more noise than a idling diesel. But bleeding air to get the coach compressor to kick in is really loud.

Got this model at Lowes, really like the design & features. Fits in my storage bay, runs off Gen AC and easy to connect air hose to access all tires and coach. I use the 3/8" x 50' pvc/rubber air hose (with quick disconnects), from Harbor Freight. Lightweight, flexible and less rubber smell.

Costs more but we are glad we invested in a Power Tank, a CO2 system. The inflation pressure can be set to over 170 psi. The Power Tank is silent so it can be used at any time. Power tools can be run from the Power Tank. And the size is compact.
