Best toilet for the buck.
I have a Thetford Aqua Magic Aurora #19231 and it seems to be wore out. I put new seals in it and it held water for a few days and know it is leaking by again. even with water in it I am getting a sewer smell. Should I buy the whole guts for it or start over with a newer modern one. If new what would be a good choice. Any imput on a middle of the road toilet. Thanks

I will be installing a Natures Head Composter in the 1/2bath in our Cornerstone. Possibly in the entire coach. I use them in our off grid place and absolutely love it. Even Dw got over the initial yuck factor.

Thank you for the imput . I found a sealand 302851001 traveler 510h standard for $239. plus $9.99 shipping so I might get it. That seems like a good deal, what do you think. It is a co. called PPL

It also stated in the add that it required a 2gl per min water source to work properly. Do most RV pumps pump that much.

Put a gallon jug under the sink faucet and see if it fills in less than 30 seconds. ;-)
You might need to pull the aerator.

Something wrong with that info. I appreciate how little water our Sealand toilet uses. After the flush, which is basically just dumping what's in the bowl, there's about a cup of water that flows into the bottom of the bowl. Enough to seal the bottom of the bowl. If you want more water in the bowl, with your foot lift up on the side lever, and water will trickle in until you stop it. It is truly a low water usage toilet.

That won't tell you if you have two gallons per minute. That will only tell you if you have one gallon per half minute. 😉

Where/when/how/why, (except in your opinion), is "one gallon per half minute" not "two gallons a minute"?
Where I come from two gallons a minute equals one gallon per half minute.

Thanks papa-jim. I've never liked my sealand toilet because you couldn't add water first like the others I've had.
Pulled up on the lever and life is now better!

also when you say low water usage toilet and he said needs 2gpm to work..doesn't mean it uses two gallons..for valves and swirl action and such it needs the pressure..low pressure many times causes valves to not seat and then leak by..
