Used Rain-X once, maybe I did it wrong, but never again. Invisible glass can actually be used in the sunlight without streaking. Diapers work the best for cleaning cloths in my opinion.

I swear by RainX. If they streak the first time, just squirt the window with the windshield washers and it is gone for good!

Maybe someone will see this post and educate me. When I lived overseas I hired a person to wash my car. He would take a bucket of water and a newspaper out and wash it. I asked him what the newspaper was for and he said to do the windows. I never saw how he did it but the windows were absolutely spotless when he was done.

I have used rainX for several years it is one of the best products I have ever seen. You can turn off your wipers in a moderate rain as a test and still see well enough to drive.

IMO, I'd be real careful about using steel wool on any type of glass...It will scratch the glass.

Maybe a piece of Scotch Brite would work better and new single edge razor blade in a holder if there are bugs that won't come off. I'd hate to drive into the sun after using the steel wool and the rainx or macquires is worn off.

I use something called "The Solution". It's a cleaner and a protectant that acts like a wax or polish. Spray it on, wipe it off with microfiber and you'll never have to scrub off bugs from your windshield again. Use it on the whole motor home and it's never looked better.

We used to use newspapers to clean the mirrors and windows at home when I was a kid. Basically use them just like you would paper towels or a cloth. Spray solution on and use the newspapers to wipe it off.

I hose down ,spray rain-X, rub oh with a mesh scrubby pad, hose off.
Use squeegee to get most of the excess water off. Put cotton towel, (micr fiber)
would probably be best on my brush extension, gets the film off from the
rainx!!!!!

I saw the same video and tried it on my car. Looks great until later on driving into the sun, I had real nice glow off the glass making it almost impossible to see. Luckily, I caught a rock and had the windshield replaced through insurance. No more Steel Wool on the Glass for me.

As far as cleaning the Windshield on my Coach, I use Simple Green in a Squirt Bottle. Brush it with my extend a pole wash brush and rinse with a bucket of clean water. Then I put a Micro Fibre Towel on the end of the brush and dry to a shine. I've tried numerous methods and this one is the best. Simple Green is the best bug remover I have found.
