Same wheelbase and more front wheel turn angle will indeed give you a better turning rig, especially if you have a lifting tag. My 45' with greater wheel turning angle can get into the same places as my previous 40' non tag. It's a little tight but doable.

I live on 5 acres in the woods with a winding driveway that terminates at a circle drive in front of the house. My 36' bounder (lots of overhang) has no problem navigating around. the 43 MA is an inch of clearance on all sides in several spots requiring multipoint turns and a very careful effort not to hit trees, landscape rocks, etc. I had to make the circle interior diameter smaller so I didn't run over the paver blocks defining the circle...have to move my son's basketball net...
Driving the MA through the south west, 99% of the time the size is great for userfullness and stability. But Yosemite was difficult to get around, impossible to park, no campsites available. Pulling into unknown campsites with a late night last minute reservation is challenging to navigate around the place and to park without clipping anything. And to not upset fellow campers with the DP noise. Driving around in Los Angeles was a treat with very steep neighborhood hills that even driving on an angle scraped the bottom of the freshly painted front cap knowing I was committed (can't back up and wind back all those streets, can't turn around, and know this one is going to hurt)..
So, waiting for the "sliding wheelbase" 43 footer of the future...
Need some more camping time to decide. But likely selling the 36 footer soon as part of decluttering.

We love our 36' but a 40'+ Tag is only a matter of time :-)

Our 45 footer can be a pain at times. Most of the problems I've encountered have been at the parks that claim they can handle the big rigs. True, I fit in the slot with the toad, but when it's time to leave I have just barely been able to get out at times. A lot of that are people that park their trucks behind a motorhome with their rear ends hanging out in the road. I will be more than happy to get on the air horn shortly before going up to ask them to get their truck out of the street. Round-abouts with the toad are tricky and sharp right hand turns and driveway humps. But we spend more time inside than driving and we love the floorplan and the bath and a half and a space to retreat if needed.

We usually travel with friends that tow a little Casita camper. We have a 36 foot class A. They disconnect and we sight see in their tow vehicle. At night we all cook, watch movies, or play games in ours. We enjoy the extra space and amenities of our larger rig.
