Bilstein HD Shocks

Anyone have any experience wiith these? I just ordered (I know...little late to ask for opinions, right?) a new set front and rear for my 1999 Damon on a Chevrolet P32 Chassis.

I ordered them on line and felt the price was reasonable and included free shipping.

Curious about the impression from anyone who has them installed on their coach.

Thanks!

I installed them on my 99 Pace Arrow P32 chassis and it was the best upgrade I had ever done to the thing. It improved the handling and ride A TON.
You won't be disappointed, trust me.
For what it's worth, I just ordered a full set for my Discovery. There was an article I read (forgot where) about the shock comparisons and the Bilsteins and Konis were the best riding shocks and there wasn't a noticeable difference between the 2....except the Konis are 3 times more expensive.

Thanks!

I had them installed on my last coach (2001 Holiday Rambler 32' Admiral) and they were GREAT ! According to the brochure for my present coach, they're factory installed...if not, I'll replace with Bilsteins.

Great shocks

You will not believe that you are driving the same coach. These are great shocks, money well spent.

Just put them on my '06 Dip. The difference is pretty impressive. The old ones were Monroes. They were shot!!!

Well got the new shocks in the mail yesterday...$346.00 including shipping (set of 4) seemed like a reasonable price and they were on my porch six days after the order was placed...getting the M/H out of the barn tomorrow!

Good Deal

Sounds like a good deal to me, you won't be sorry you made the update. Also remember a job is not well done unless a little blood is shed, so be easy on the knuckles.

Go to the auto parts store and buy some Mechanix gloves before you start. I use the high impact ones that have the extra padding over the knuckles. I believe they sell them at Lowes also. Don't use any other brand. I learned the hard way.

Soak the nuts with penetrating oil the day before. You will be glad you did. Don't forget the steering stabilizer too.

Kudos on your purchase.

Bought mine on sale, $75/ea, free shipping, life of the vehicle warranty, back in '07. Still happy with them.

I think the only complaints you'll hear are about the OEM Bilsteins that the RV manufacturers put on a few model years ago. Those were, as you'd expect, less then 20K mile shocks.

Need to get mine replaced soon, can you share where you ordered them from? Thanks!
