We buy golf cart batteries from Sam's Club for our Scissor lifts. They are $81 each and work great. Would have to give them serious consideration when it comes time to replace the coach batteries in the MH.

Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy your coach. Stay warm. Hey, you could always take a driven down here to Florida.

Think my thermostat is off, although it is mounted high and heat rises electric ceramic heater has digital and it reads about 8 degrees cooler. Also feels cooler then thermostat reads. Not a big deal, beings the camper is 26 years old i can handle that. Spot we are in now isent very level "temps in Illinois in the winter fluctuate its been -15 air temps and -56 wind chills this winter and we the next week were in the 50s then it plummeted back to 0 and has pretty much stayed" so it is hard since it gets mushy, then drove across the cold and hardens. Its not terrible, but def noticeable. So that's kind of a negative, but I'm not picky, I'm camping i understand being away from civilization there are a few give and takes so to speak. Just got off work, ten hours and im enjoying a coors light mmmmm haha Took me FOREVER to talk my gf into it and shes having a blast now and has told me she could do it for a cpl years now lol. I originally am i boat man, but the size vessel i want and my mechanic income dont mix, plus ive always been an avid hiker along with kayaking and so forth so my adventure is going to be RV'ing for awile!!!!!!

Enjoy your dreams. Many of us can't do that until much later in life, if ever.

Traveler... Congrats on making the move! Propane: there are a few truck plazas on the highway near Ottawa, and several more over at LaSalle. Many truck stops have propane, and I've found them to be fairly competitive. Good Luck!

If you are in IL, look for a Menards. They are experimenting with propane fill stations in IL. They will be tons cheaper.

Propane Fueling Stations at Menards Looks like there is one in Morris. Not sure how close that is to where you are, but that looks like the only one in that area.

MORRIS, IL 60450

I am fortunate to have a Menards within a 1/2 miles of my house that sells propane.
The other place to look for propane will be a farm coop. There prices won't be as good as Menards, but should be cheaper than your intown hardware stores and campgrounds.

Mrnards in morris is about a 20 minute ride. So not to far. Have to keep that in mind.
