Bit the bullet

So instead of a pull behind i bought a 1987 allegro. P-30 chassis. 454 powered. So far ive tested everything. Furnace works.....funny thing is they put a furnace vent that blows on toilet seat....seats always warm!!!!!! Gf loves that fact happy women equals happy man haha. Propanr though is ridiculous!!!!!!!! Only place that will fill my tank is hicks gas in marseilles illinois at a whoppin 4.50 a gallon OUCH!!!!!! We are camping at a local campground at yhe moment. Furnace helps our electric heater. Last night and night before it got down to 0 degree air temp with negative 15 wind chills. Ive decided that im not going to ise my water 'till it becomes warmer. Shower in campground showers and bring water for flushing and coffee. If the gf dont have coffee....oh jeez lol. Ummmm 27,600 miles on rig. I just did a tune up on her. Runs good. During the day when yhe sun shines i open blinds and put dark blankets where sun shines through. Yesterday with one 1500 watt electric heater no furnace and blinds open she maintained 72 degrees inside. Trying to save on propane.....jeez that stuff is RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Congrats to you. Yes propane is getting crazy. Once MH is warmed up I also use a 1500 watt electric to keep it warm. Hopefully we'll be getting into some warmer weather in a while.

The 454 was a good engine. Good luck and be sure to keep the GF happy. lol

Spring for a catalytic heater. At $4+ a gallon! it will pay for itself pretty quick.

My goal is practical

1. I live for the outdoors
2. Cost of renting or owning a home is asinine.
3. My gf our two hounds and my daughter on the weekends all love to be together and away from society.
4. This guy originally wanted 6500 and i almost pulled the trigger but waited. I came with 60, 50 dollar bills and he took the bait.
5. My last apartmentt was 2100 sq ft cost us 950 a month. This is going to save us a bundle. Im tired of having everything but living paycheck to paycheck....I told myself last September im done living that way.

Thank you. Question, i have two batteries next to my genny. Those are my house batteries correct? Because i dont see batteries anywhere else.....too be honest its too cold to look anyway lol. Im assuming so. If thats the case they need replaced. Im not doing golf cart batteries, think im going to go with 2 of interstates deep cycles. Always had good luck with interstate.

Those should be coach batteries. Costco has cheap good batteries and a good return policy if needed. Congrats on your new lifestyle. Looks like they took good care of it. You now have the freedom to go anywhere at anytime. When its that cold point it south.

Good luck
