Bizarre Electrical Issue: Compartments lock themselves

Hi,
I just put my batteries back in my 2003 Itasca Horizon 40AD and now I have a weird problem. Every 10 of so seconds the compartments lock themselves.

Here's what I know so far:
- I know which ground wire I can disconnect from the battery to stop it
- the compartment lock switch in the RV cabin works - will both lock and unlock the RV
- the remote control does not work, but didn't work last year either

I'm really struggling to determine how to diagnose this. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Darryl

OK,
I disconnected all wires but the main ones and what I now noticed is that the 'Check antenna" light on the dash flashes every ten or so seconds. That light usually only lights up when the RV is started, and is solidly lit for maybe 10 seconds.

One of the piece of info is that the RV started fin.

Some more info:
- when I disconnect the one ground wire (very small one) it stops unlocking the compartments. However, the switch to lock and unlock them still works and will lock and unlock the compartments.

OK,
This is getting weird. The compartments lock in a pattern of almost exactly 10 seconds apart. I timed the locking and here is what I got:
10.60 seconds
10.67 seconds
10.65 seconds
10.63 seconds
10.65 seconds

This makes no sense!

Turn off both battery banks and disconnect from shoreline for a couple of minutes. It may just be confused and need a real power down reset.

There are a lot of threads about issues after changing batteries.
It almost always turns out to be something wasn't hooked up correctly.

Fully agree (I've done that before myself )

This time I can't find out what it is. I've disconnected all wires except for the really obvious one . ..

OK,
Got it narrowed down to the vehicle security module. When I unplugged the wiring harness both the antenna light stopping blinking and the compartment doors stopped locking.

Anyone have any experience with those modules? I assume I'll just have to replace it?

Here's what it looks like:

OK,
Pulled out the module completely.

The vendor module number is 202-3227

Found the Winnebago part number: 151458-01-700 MODULE BOARD - 4 FUNCTION

So any idea where to get a replacement? I'm pretty sure they don't make these any more.

I'm assuming there will be no issues running without this, correct? In other words, it doesn't do anything more than the keyless entry?

I'm actually not 100% of the part number.

When I look at the parts book for my specific year/make/model I get the following:
102756-03-000 EA KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM - ENTRY DOOR & CARGO DOORS - W/REMOTE
FROM: 00-00-00 THRU: 05-09-04
151458-01-000 EA KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM - ENTRY DOOR & CARGO DOORS - W/REMOTE
FROM: 05-10-04 THRU: 99-99-99

When I googled the vendor part number on the back of the security module () I found the following link:
http://www.winnebagoind.com/service/...d_electric.pdf

And inside of it was 151458-01-700 MODULE BOARD - 4 FUNCTION

So I'm confused as to which part I really need . . .

I would do a bit more investigation and see if there is a way to reset or reprogram the module. I see something about programming on the cover in your picture.
