Normally just using soap and water and a scrub brush will remove/clean the rubber to prevent that. I do that and use Protectant 303 to keep rubber protected and drying out.
I didn't have a problem until I washed the camper this spring. Is there something you can use on rubber to seal it? It sat all winter and spring with no black streaks until the wash job.
