Black tank flush

I have a black tank flush on my m/h and when i went to use it, water ran out on the opposite side next to the fresh water tank. The last time I used it, it worked fine. I'm at a loss as to what happened. Has anyone had that kind of problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Most installations have a vacuum break to prevent back flow. Some are pkastic and often fail.
many time it us mounted up under a sink.

Thanks Dan
There is one on mine. How could you tell if that is the problem?
