Does anyone know how the padded border on the top and sides of the interior slide are attached? I want to recover or replace them and can't figure out how they put them on. There is a problem on one vertical piece and I can see that there is plywood behind it. You can't see where/how they adhered it to the slide frame. Nothing I can find. There must be a trick they use.

Is there a button type item some where along. If so fasteners can be hidden behind them.

Some have a lip that slips over the top then screws go up from the bottom. Those screws are hidden under a trim strip that is stapled in place.

No buttons and no lip that I can see. On the top horizontal piece, there is a fabric decoration that sits on top of the padded border. I did pull on it to see what would happen and it has very long spikes (1" or so) that are fastened to the inside of the decoration. They were forced into the plywood that lies underneath the padded border. I don't see how the border pieces would be attached with long spikes, since they are much thicker and they bend around the corners of the border. I hate to pull on the border pieces since it might tear up whatever it is attached to.
