If I were you I'd just rent one, no issues with insurance or license there. Borrowing is all well and good, but if you break something or get into an accident, things could go south real quick.

We're getting ready to buy a Super C with bunk beds for the grandkids. I do hope after a few weeks traveling with us, our daughter and son-in-law will be able to use it on their own. The unit we are buying is under 26k# and will not require a Class B license to operate and that was one of our must haves. Only I have a Class A and my wife did not want to go through Maryland's extensive testing requirements.
My insurance quote includes non Class B or A licensing but will probably have to add some extra coverage to cover our kids driving it.
