Bouncy Ride

Recently had an experience on our 2012 Entegra Anthem where the coach was very bouncy after any little bump. Luckily we were on a short trip, when we got home, I shut everything down, reset, started motor, relief valve released and everything was fine. Not sure if this was a airbag problem or what, but never experienced this before; anyone else ever have this problem and if so what was the cause?

Usually a bouncy ride is caused by weak shocks. Your ride height valves should make it always return to the same height.

Air in tires is fine. Driven it many times and not had it do the extreme bouncing. Took it out again on a road test and everything was fine, no bounce. SMH...

Road condition , tire air pressure, load unbalance. Torq lug bolts on wheels . Check inside dual for bulges . Full tanks - empty tanks .
Check for loose suspension components. After all that and no issues put a set new shocks on . 👍😎

Ooo what's the tire age?

Is called the pogo stick ride. Sometimes the airbags do not inflate when the Jacks are raised.
I assume you did not check your ride height after the engine had been running and Jack's raised?
Typically hitting the Jack retract button again will cause the airbags to inflate.
Always do a walk-around after you raise the Jacks and make sure the bags are inflated.

That's how I would describe it. I have a feeling this was what happened. I will pay close attention in the future. Thanks for the feedback Dan.

If my air springs don't inflate, I don't get a bouncy ride, I get a very harsh, jolting ride as the air springs hit bottom. In a few yards down the street I know to stop and check suspension.

Very helpful Dan, I believe this was my problem. Everything went back to normal after I recycled the jacks. Lesson learned.

On Entegras you should let the air build to maximum before you retract the jacks.
