Brake Fluid Drain/Flush/Refill
I'm planning on having this maintenance done by a local truck shop here. Inquired about the cost and I was told that it probably would run about an hour so for labor purposes would cost about $100.
This shop specialized on trucks so I assume they know what they're talking about. The last time I had this done, Brazel's did it and I couldn't recall how long it took them.
For you DYI guys/gals, you think an hour is good enough to do the job? I don't know much about this process so need some insight. TIA

Yes, I would estimate an hour to flush and refill then bleed all lines in a brake system.

Les Schwab did our Class C for $65 so that seems fair for yours.

Thanks all! In my area, our Les Schwab don't do brake flush on MH. Too bad since I just had them replaced all 6 of my 22.5's

Make sure the shop is aware the Quadraulic brakes on the W24 have bleeders on both the inside and the outside of the calipers. An hour for labor doesn't sound like enough time to remove the wheels to reach the ones on the outside.

Thanks Paz, good reminder - haven't made an appointment yet and now I know what to ask (experience w/W-24) when I do. Last time I had this done w/Brazel's RV which is an authorized WSC but they're almost 60-70 miles away from me.

I realize that means an additional 20 gallons of gas, plus your time driving there and back, BUT that may be a small price to pay to insure the job is done right. Plus, the excersize is good for the chassis! Good luck with whatever you decide. Ed
