If my memory serves me correctly there was a diode in the area of the steering column which might go bad. Sorry I do not have exact info.
Good luck.

Just wondering,
I'm not familiar with the tail light layout of your coach. Let me ask. Do you have Amber turn signals or, are they red? The reason I ask is, if you have RED turn signals, about 99.99999% of the time, the turn signals use the same filaments as the brake lights, as well as the 4-way flasher/emergency lights. So, if they all work, then it's quite possibly a brake light switch that's your problem but, no guarantees here. Grounds (or bad grounds I should say) wreak havoc on lighting systems. But, if the rest of your lighting (in each fixture/housing) is working correctly, then your grounds are working at least that good. But, if you have AMBER turn signals, then you have a bit different layout for your brake lights.
Amber turn signals, and 4 way flashers, are completely segregated from the brake light system. And checking the operation of turn signals and 4-way flashers with Amber systems does no good in finding your problem.

Vipeoc-
I don't have any documentation on the 2002 coaches. I do have this link:
Late Model Roadmaster Chassis Installation Supplement for Unified Tow Brake
Perhaps your coach's front run box looks like the picture in the link.
The link concerns trailer wiring, but points towards "Bussmann" Box #2 or Box #3 in the front run box as containing a brake signal fuse and relay.

The brake light switch(es) are typically located on the back of the Treadle Valve (Brake Pedal valve) or nearby. If these switches can be easily accessed (firewall side), it is a good starting point for testing.
You would check each switch (there is a brake light switch for primary air and one for secondary air systems) to see if you have 12V power to one of the terminals with key on. If you do then check the other terminal to see if you have power when brake pedal is depressed.
That simple check will tell you where to start looking for the problem (i.e. no power to switch, bad switch, or no power from switch to brake light housing). Since there are two switches, it is unlikely that both are bad, but its a possibility.
Here is a typical brake light wiring diagram for Monaco (your coach may vary, but should be similar)

Brake lights
I have what looks like a air pipe right beside the break pedal with a possible switch at the end of it with two wires coming out. When my cruise control is on hitting the brakes does not turn the cruise control off nor do I have brakelights. Just some additional information for you. Thanks for your previous response Lonnie.

you should have 12 vdc going to the switch. If not present find the fuse which feeds the needed volts. If no voltage no brake light not cruise control disconnect.

Jump across the 2 terminals on your brake light switch while someone watches at the back. If the lights come on, it's likely the switch. Good luck.
Happy Glamping.
