My experience with Air Tabs is exactly as described by Mike T. I like them.

I installed Air Tabs two years ago and I noticed an improvement in stability with cross winds and bow waves from trucks. Determining fuel savings is hard to do for a small improvement when there are several other larger factors contributing. The principle for Air Tabs is right and they probably improve MPG. The back of my MH is cleaner now. The appearance is up to personal taste. I don't mind the appearance of mine at all. The low cost and ease of installation of Air Tabs is a key factor for me. As fuel becomes more expensive things like Air Tabs become more attractive. BTW, slowing down proved to be the biggest factor in increasing MPG.

Triker-56 Are you talking about the mud flap or is it another product. Breaking the suction is more a matter of keeping the rear clean than fuel economy.

I'm talking about the full width mud flap.
After putting it on I could drive the MH 3,000 plus miles and the rear wouldn't be dirty as a 500 mile drive without it.

Even the front of the 14' cargo trailer I pulled would stay cleaner also.
As far as MPG I keep all fuel bought on a spreadsheet. And it does show a .1 increase after it was installed in 9/03. But to small to know if it affected MPG or not.

Because latter years when I slowed down from 65 to 55 MPH the MPG increase was .7 MPG from before the mud flap.

I installed Air Tabs on my rig in April before a 7K trip in May and June. I see a significant improvement when being passed by big rigs on the road. Almost cannot tell when I am being passed. Did not have sufficient history with this rig to make a fair determination if fuel mileage increased, but I think it did get better a little bit. Did not see any improvement in dirt on rear of MH or on toad...............just my observations.................ronspradley

Here is a long thread regarding the pros and cons of AirTabs in a trucking forum I have been known to frequent.

Air Tabs - Expedite Trucking Forums

I have no experience with them and therefore no opinion. However, the principal on which they are designed does make a lot of sense.
