Bigd9--pretty simple to me: two-axle vehicle--max [total vehicle weight] of 20,000lbs; 3 or more multi-axle vehicle--36,000lbs total.....pretty clear I think.

Ageishecker--remind me not to follow you over a bridge [smile]

As you can tell, I decided to Go For It.
Back in the day when I was a claims adjuster we called that "assumption of the risk" and would put you on notice that the company may refuse coverage as you committed an intentional act that you had been warn against.

25,000# total for 2 or 3 axle Coach

From what TX DOT wrote it would be 25000 total. 12,500 Front Axle and 12,500 Rear Axle. @ axles in Tandem would also be considered a "Single Axle" if the spread between center of axles is less than 10' 1". No coach will have a tag spread that far. Be safe. Make it home in one piece.

Good info...
My Mom lives near there (Palestine) and we plan to go back to Tyler SP some time in the future. With our 30' fifth wheel and 3/4 ton diesel pickup I don't even remember seeing that sign last time we were there.

But, now that I know it is there I may plan differently. Of course with our 29' class A with a GVWR of 18K I'm good to go....

Why don't they simply say 25,000 weight limit? That certainly is clear. Is that not what they mean?
