Hello everyone. I have a 1999 bounder 36 '. I have a busted line to the bathroom sink. Has anyone on here, done the repairs. I have look several times, cannot find a way to them... Thanks for any info.

You have to have a swedging tool to crimp line to a coupling (UNION). You must find both ends of water line cut off tubing in a place where you can fit swedging tool. Go to other end and cut that off too. Then fasten rope or wire snake to line and pull out bad line. then attach new line to snake and pull into place. Install unions and compression ferrells. Squeeze swedging tool on ferrels. Check for leaks. Then flush water system with bleach solution and you are done. It's not easy but I've done it on a travel trailer that mice had chewed water lines. I'm guessing you have the red and blue plastic water lines. Good luck.

If it's a 1999, it may be the grey poly pipe. The pex didn't come out (I don't think) til a little bit later after the poly was abandoned/discontinued. If it's the grey pipe/tubing, I'd recommend using the Quest fittings. Pretty much just all "hand tightened" fittings.

It should be the grey pipe as mine is. If your leak is just under the sink and accessable through the vanity, try to cut out the bad part of the pipe and replace the bad section. If you have to get at it under the floor... that can be rough. I know there is an access panel on the other side of the coach in the storage bay behind the wheels with the 110v outlet in it. I haven't opened it though and can't imagine it would allow access clear to the other side. Maybe there is access under the wheel well or the front of the wet bay?

There are 3 pipes, Hot, Cold and Waste, Which broke, and also is it a break or did it just simply come loose from the faucet?

Questions that need to be answered first.

Thanks for the reply. It was a cold pipe. I removed a panel, behind the tire. I found a busted elbow, as soon as I removed the panel. Now that was lucky. Thanks again.

My 91 Rambler I just bought had the gray poly with the plastic fittings. It appeared that the previous owners constantly chased leaks and I knew more leaks were on the way. So in about 2 evenings I completely replaced all the waterlines with pex. Also added shut-offs to everything, a filter and an inline pressure regulator. My old motorhome now has better waterlines than most homes do!!

Howdy,

I have a different rig but fix a similar problem last fall (wrote it up here). I originally thought I would have to use crimp fittings but was able to find press on fittings that worked at the local home improvement store. I believe that find saved me a huge amount of suffering.

Most plumbing shops have two different types of connectors that may fix that. One is called SHARK BITE and needs no special tools to apply, the other needs special tools.

True story: First time de-winterizing I found one of the water pipes to the kitchen sink had come off the faucet (Simple disconnect, not a break) and of course it flooded the rig.

Thankfully it was the 1/4 cup bleach to 15 gallons water that flooded the house, so no mold or other issues.. Just one very clean floor.
