Let's not get off-track headed towards new vs used. Keep the discussion on whether or not to buy from MHSRV.

Thanks,
Lori-

Is this for real? How are you supposed to know how it handles on the road?

Have no experience with MHSRV but did buy a MH from RVOne. Best buying experience ever, Steven, our sales guy was very knowledgable and helped us find the MH of our dreams.

Unfortunately we had to cancel because there were too many cross border issues for us Canadians.

It's one of knocks involved with this dealer. If you put down a deposit, I'm told you can do a test drive ... something like that anyway.

We purchased from MHSRV and it was a good experience overall. They have a huge inventory which allows you to see various models and floor plans in one stop. They WILL NOT let you test drive their units. If that's important to you, this is not the dealership for you. We live about 75 miles from MHSRV and would not return for service unless it was a major warranty issue. We overnighted on their delivery lot and found every issue possible so they could fix it before we left. We had a water leak on the washing machine and our drain pipes were reversed on our gray and black tanks. They fixed both issues before we left the next day. Best thing we ever did was spend a night there and run all the systems to their max capacity. We found the washing machine leak on the spin cycle when it flooded the slide and cargo bays that night. We would probably purchase from them again if they have the rig we want and we are inclined to trade up.

Not being able to drive the coach is incredible to me. How do you decide if you like it? I'm buying new but what about those buying used, no test drive there either?

I don't know about you guys, but I can't imagine buying a coach without driving it first! So you test drive a new coach at another dealer and then go and buy it from MHS?

We purchased our mh from MHRSV in 3/16. Our first delivery guy told us we should have bought a different model due to all the problems. Half way through we ended up with Matt who walked us through the entire mh. We found a couple of issues which he took care of. Due to scheduling on our end we had to leave that night. Matt stayed until we were satisfied and ended up leaving the lot at 7:30 pm. We bought on the condition my DW could drive the coach to make sure she could handle it. Salesman made sure it happened. They had the best price with our trade. I bought from them knowing my local dealer would not service and planned on taking care of service myself. So far everything I have needed has been set from the factory. We would by from them again if price is right.

I was talking with a motorhome rep the other day who's territory includes MHS. He represents one of the brands sold there and he agreed with what some of you have said. MHS has a lot of clout with them and if they call things get done.

He did not endorsed MHS as the place to buy! He simply said they sell a lot of coaches and if they call he and his company listens.

I also talked to him about dealers not dealing properly with service issues, especially warrantee issues. He said when something goes wrong we'll get you into the right place to get you fixed. Just thought I'd pass it along!

Not true. We went out with the sales guy and cut donuts to see it's turning radius before we signed anything. I just don't think you can drive them alone. While we were there another customer did about $6000 of body damage to the coach he was testing, think they worked out a good deal for him and MHSRV.
