I've never seen this happen. I started a trip yesterday and when I left I had the defroster on so I did not notice that there was not any air coming out of the vest. The fan was working and as you could hear blowing. When I turned the vent setting to A/C and Max A/C nothing came out. Again you could hear the fan running just no air. Is the vet controlled by a fuse or motor? I should add that this is a 1999 Winnebago Brave V10 where do I start? HELP!! I need this to work as I especially need the defroster part to work. Thanks.

Not sure in your case but most of the Heat & AC controls are automotive and are controlled by vacuum.

See if you can locate you vacuum pump & lines on the engine and firewall. On mine there is a black bulb that acts as like a reservoir. See if you can find a loose connection which would disable the controls. See if you can hear a leak.

In my case I have a vacuum generator that works off the compressor system.

Most will blow in defrost mode by default so see if air is blowing there.

Look for vacuum hose loose.

Well that was the cheapest fix I've had on this old rig so far. I opened the hood and there was the hose hanging down. I re attached it and the blower is working great. Thank you again.

Glad to help, I've posted a number of questions on this site and usually get really good responses.

I spend a lot of time just reviewing daily posts to see if I can learn anything and answer if I think I know the answer.

NOTE: if you hear the blower running, then it is working,

As you found the problem was with the directional controls, it was stuck on DEFROST. I have had that happen a time or two as well.
