CAC repair by Fleet Air Technology

I recently had to have my CAC repaired due to multiple leaks, including core leaks as well as a split tank seam. On the advice of Walt, I called Fleet Air Technology in Martsell, AL. I talked to Jeremy. He was very knowledgeable and very familiar with the Monaco CAC’s. He described the common problems, and they were exactly the ones I had. Jeremy said the majority of the OEM coolers had flimsy cores and that repairing them was failure prone. He said he could only recommend replacing the core, and performing their entire restoration process, including a proprietary sealing procedure. He estimated, without seeing the CAC, that the repair would be about $1200 plus freight. Freight from NC was just over $100 each way. I sent it to them. The freight company had the CAC to him the next day and promptly the following morning he called me to say that either my CAC was different than those he was familiar with in Monaco’s or it had at some time been replaced. Jeremy said he would re-use my core and that the total repair would be about half what he had estimated.

Less than a week later, I had the skillfully repaired CAC back and looking like new. Being a bit of a skeptic, I pressure tested it before reinstalling. It was OK. I do not have many miles on the repaired cooler, but feel certain it is OK.

The point I want to make is this—How often does someone charge you a lot less than what he estimated, when if he had done what he said originally, you would never have known? That is uncommonly good customer service. And Jeremy was a very pleasant person to deal with. I would heartily recommend Fleet Air Technology if you are ever in need of this type service.

That's exactly how to earn and keep a loyal customer base. It's also awesome that you took the time to post this. Plenty of people take the time to post about their negative experiences but few do the same when it's positive.
