Calif State Parks

Was looking for possible places in the Redwoods for us to stay on our way to Trinidad CA. We have a Win Adventurer 37G. Looking at the CA web sites, I have yet to find one that takes anything over 33ft. How about some of you that have been there before with longer MH's, where do you park? Maybe it is not doable? Or, as Mom used to say "you just can't get there from here".
Great forum. Thanks for any input.

We have stayed at several going through the Ave of the Giants, that we fit in, even though they do not list them as being for longer than what you have said. One was by the visitors center, and one several miles further back. We have made that trip 6-8 times. There are also several private campgrounds that can work well.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park, 28101 Ave of the Giants Redcrest, CA 95569, GPS 40. 25' 00.32N 123. 58'00.23W has 70 foot pull through sites with full hookups. Nice gift shop and store. 8 miles north of main Vistor Center. Park is 2 miles north of Redcrest on Ave. of Giants. Not under the trees but a pretty location right in the middle of the ave of the giants. Richardson Grove RV Park, just below Richardson Grove State park. Full hookups, large sites. 750 US hwy 101 Garberville, CA. A bit warmer here than parks further north as above. Stafford RV Park near Scotia, an older park right off the 101 just south of the lumber town of Scotia 385 N. Road Scotia, CA The campground (Burlington) at the Humboldt Redwoods State Park has NO hookups and largest rig allowed is about 36 foot and those sites are very limited. There is also an older park at Myers Flat 4 miles south of the visitor center right off 101.
