I had the Banks Power Pak installed in a 97 Ford E350 with the V10 engine. Had it smogged numerous times (last time was 3 months ago), including one test a at a smog only station (they do a more complete inspection and was required by the DMV), I never had a single problem with the tech or the Calif. DMV, received a smog cert each time. So, my experience was all positive with the DMV.

BTW, the system performed as advertisted, except my mileage increase was very slight, if at all. I really liked the system

I had a ford v10 with Banks and I live in California
and my 1999 35ft Bounder passed smog everytime
no problem with the banks exhaust ever. I just never thought it was worth the money
I spent on the banks system not much bang for my buck there

Thumbs up

Here is what I heard back from Banks Engineering:

All of our products are designed and developed to meet or exceed CARB and EPA emissions standards, assuming that they are properly installed according the specific owners manual for that product. All components making up the Power Pack which is our largest kit comply under the following E.O. (Executive Order) numbers:

Torque Tubes (headers) E.O.# D-161-76
Ram-Air Intake E.O.# D-161-80
Ottomind Chip E.O.# D-161-63

So another question answered. Thanks for all of your replies and experiences.
