Campground 10 year issue

I think a list needs to be made of all campgrounds that have the 10 old rule because there's alot of retired people traveling for 20 years . And these campground s that do this are just profiling people that will spend more.
If I had a new motor home I won't stay at these campgrounds. They need to be marked and avoided. 👍 let's start a list 👍😎

I agree wholeheartedly. The folks who rationalize that this rule is simply to stop squatters are completely off base and enabling this despicable practice.

you invest 1/2 million plus, its your place and your rules.
if you take care of you rig's upkeep you will have no problem with it but if you don't wash or take care of it you will and i don't blame them.
my rig is over 10 years and i have never been questioned about it.
most of the places that have this rule are usually a little nicer and more expensive and i don't mind paying a little more not to have the Beverly hillbillies and all their relations park near me

They're keeping out the riff raff, junk keepers, itinarants, permenants, noise makers, etc. Even though my coach is 2 years old, I don't stay there either.
Their rules. Go some where else.

I've never run into the 10-year rule anywhere, but my RV is only 2 years old.

However, I did run into a size requirement at a Lake Havasu resort who sells RV lots. Some lots are for Class As and some are for Class As, Class Cs and travel trailers. I inquired on a Class C lot and they have a rule that the vehicle has to be at least 25'. Mine is 23'. There went that idea, even though I would have paid cash in full. Oh, well.

The realtor didn't know why this is so, but guessed that it was to "keep out van conversions."

Yup ... and many are actually Condo or Homeowner Association communities and have the 10 yr requirement as part of their Documents. A few recent stops have been in places that have a 12 or 15 yr restriction.

I have a telephone ... I don't need a list.

Very true.

I've stayed in parks where the RVs (not park models) looked terrible. That gave the park a depressive feel.

If you're paying $100 a night then you're in the wrong campground! I only did that once and it was because we were in a KOA and had the two grandkids we had living with us and they wanted to use the pool and other amenities.
