Camping World repairs

Does anyone else have problems with CW's service? We have had out ACE since April and it has been in for warranty work 3 times. The first time it was over 4 weeks, and this last time ( still there), it has been almost 5 weeks this time!

I have had terrible service from CW. IMHO, if your Thor product is under warranty contact them and make arrangements to have your ACE serviced at a reputable RIVA certified dealer. That is what I have done in the past. Good luck!

I took my fridge in for repair they said the cooling unit was bad and wanted to replace a 3year old dometic 13 cu fridge f0r $3600. at the Columbia,mo store. we were on our way to Utah ,purchased an ice chest & went on our way. A week later I checked the heater elements & found them bad, started up on gas , fridge worked fine, very unqualified techs on their staff.

Lots of different problems. We can't understand why they don't listen to you when you bring the coach in. They took 3 weeks to even look at one problem!

I think a lot of good vs bad service depends on the dealer/location. There are two CW's in my area and I have had excellent service from both. The service writer is also important, they do need to listen to you, but I found you also have to be pretty specific in what you want.

Never had them keep my rig longer than 3 days; even for some rather major work. The only real problem I had was a warranty issue that took Coachman two weeks to decide if it was "truly a warranty issue", but CW let me keep my rig until all was approved.

Cw is the worst place to buy or have service done. Knew someone who worked there who said it was a terrible place to have any work done

We had them install a 2,500 watt inverter in place of the original 400 watt one. Thought they knew how to do it correctly. Found out they didn't! They should have split the circuits and added secondary breaker box. They didn't and we found that the refer ran off the batteries when the inverter was on. Not a big problem, I just had to remember to manually switch the unit to gas when Wally Docking. The REALLY BIG problem was that the heat pumps would also run off the inverter and EVERYTHING electric was energized.

Where do you start! A lifetime member only to get 8 cents off a gallon--an excellent program. After a screwed up, half a@$ed, overpriced fridge installation, and a follow on complaint to their Hq complaint department that went completely dead, I will never go back to their store or have service. Just me...

CW seems to be gobbling up many indepent RV dealers. To me this is a very bad trend but I do not see it stopping.

Is La Mesa RV any better than CW? A new La Mesa just opened a couple miles from me; right across from HD and Lowe's.
