It's an "antenna up" switch. If you hook an ohm meter to it, the meter will read if you change the position of the switch. So.....basically, it tells you your antenna is up before you drive away. Monaco installed these antenna up switches to the batwings and wired them to the dash. A light SHOULD come on when the coach is started and the antenna is still up.
Many of these switches just use a ball bearing inside. If you tilt it, you should feel the bearing move. When it rolls to the end with the wires, it completes a circuit between the two wires.
Check your idiot lights on your dash when you start the coach. It should show one that says "antenna up" when you first start the coach.
When I had my Diplomat, I eliminated the old style bat wing and added one of the boomerang types that doesn't need to be raised. I moved the wiring of the switch, you have, to my Winegard satellite dish. I installed a magnetic "read switch" on the satellite and to its base and reconnected the wires. The switch now told me when my sat was up.
