Can slides be out if the ground is not level?

Its likely that the pad on the end of your jacks is larger than the contact patch of your tire anyway. IE it puts LESS stress on the concrete than the tire. If you add the jack pad it would spread it even further. Other than at the very edge of the concrete, if you can drive on it, you can use your jacks on it.

That is an excellent point! When you think about it if you put your jacks down as long as you are not lifting the tires off the ground the weight will be distributed over 10 points instead of 6 putting even less stress on the concrete. Wood pads under jacks even better!

My manual tells me to put the slides out,
then level.
I have pulled in to a spot, found I was fairly level,
put the slides out. At this point both slides on one side
caused the coach to be quite a bit off level.
I dump the air, brings me back to just about level, then
adjust with the jacks.

"Slightly leaning" could mean very different things to different people. And not all 5th wheels are created equal. If it's "slightly leaning" the frame could be "slightly twisted" also, which could end in disaster if the frame is marginal- and many are....

Interesting responses. My C owner's manual said to level first, then slide. My Holiday Rambler owners guide says to slide first, then level. Rationale is because leveling could put undo twisting on the frame causing the slides to bind. I actually found this out after I was sitting on a slight side slope. I leveled and then slid, and the left slide bonded and popped, etc. I pushed the slide back out, unleveled, and then the slide went in fine.

Then when you read the Leveling system manufacture's instructions, they say to level first, then slide.
