Now, should there be an easy way to get that tire out of there? I have not investigated, but it looks heavy. (I bought this MH late this fall, and got it into my shelter before the snow fell, so I have not had much time to figure out the outside stuff till it warms up some.)

I was thinking there should be a slide or rack or something to help get it into and out of that mounting in the center of that bay. If there is, I will find it, if it is missing, I was hoping for a hint of what I should be looking for...
I don,t remember if all Fleetwoods came with a strap, but I know some came with a woven nylon strap to pull the spare out with. It is true you have to be careful coming out over the compartment seal to keep from tearing it. I told my customers to place their outdoor carpet over the seal to protect it. Most everyone carries carpet for the patio. It came in handy in Ashville NC When I had to change a starter on my motorhome on the hot parking lot pavement at a steak house.
