I'm a big believer in being able to do everything on the rig. You never know when you might need it.

I'm with Nina here... my toy, my job, but he helps some esp. to light the fridge because the sparker on it doesn't work. Leveling is a 2 person job also most the time as it is faster though I have done it myself when I camped solo. And sometimes I ask for help with the awning.
DH's toy is the powered parachute, he maintains it, but I will assist when asked.

I can do all maintenance on our 5th wheel & Silverado. I drive, backup & navigate & if needed change a tire. No reason not to - every reason to. BTW - I can also do all the same on boats.
My husband does all the above as well as cook, clean & sew.
Oh, & yes, I can dump the black tank & clean the stinky slinky all by myself.

The keys to happiness are found in cooperation
My wife can do anything but we have a division of labor finely tuned through hours of practice, and experience and negotiation and discussion and assessment of our various skills and interest and consideration and fairness to each.
We agreed I do everything outside and she does everything inside unless she does not want to do anything and then I do it on the inside.

My DW doesn't even know where the valves are.

Hell Ya.
If tasked - DW has no issues and considers the task relatively clean on the "how bad can it be scale".
Her perspective is the whole thing is a vast upgrade from a tent and any nitpicking is simply first world whining.
Raising 2 boys and dealing with a family of dirt bike riding, boating , Rving- its all just part of the deal.

Well, I don't have a wife. However, I do know how to hook up everything and how all the systems work, so I COULD do it if I had to.
Luckily, I don't have to.

My wife is disabled. If I asked her I believe she would try. I would ask a friend first. The true test is would you do it for a fellow RVer in need. I think I would but would use my own hoses. I know the condition and how to use my own equipment.

My wife will dump both tanks if needed. She has seen me do it thousands of times so she learned the process just by watching.
For the times where I happen to be away from the coach and she wants to take a shower with a full gray tank or use the toilet, she HAD to learn otherwise she'd be $%!t out of luck.
She has no problem dumping the tanks if needed so she can shower or use the toilet.
She knows the routine and does it well.
She's originally from Northern Thailand and possibly you KNOW what their black and gray systems are like up there. These RV systems are a piece of cake when compared.

We made sure that both of us can do the complete set up and take down. In fact occasionally we will swap just to make sure we do all the steps. Normally he does the outside while I do the inside & put out the awnings & slides. I also drive the coach some to stay comfortable with that also. I guess I might be different than a lot of women but I like being able to do things as needed. It empowers me to know as much as I can about the rig and how it operates. You never know when you might need that bit of knowledge.
