There are ( as of June )new requirements for , exporting vehicles from the USA.
You must first export from the USA, before you import into Canada.
You also need to be aware of, the sales agreements in use in many US states that do not have any provision for a cooling off period, once you sign, the deal must go through. Montana has this.
There will be no tax credit for any trade in, and providing the required paperwork ( recall compliance ) on anything you try to trade into the USA, can be problematic. You need to import any trade into the USA , before you can trade it in, doesn't matter that it was built there, it's been out of the country and has to meet import requirements.
A couple of posts on the subject, I'll track them down and link you to them.
Also the Canadian RIV ( Registrar Imported Vehicles) link.

As a Canadian who works in the RV industry (15 years), who is a full time RV'er (just over 1 year), a Snowbird (7 years) and has purchased RV's in the US (2 class A's). I purchased a new 2005 Class A Triple Slide Gas unit in Late 2006 from La Mesa RV in Yuma, AZ and save over $60,000 CND. The unit I have now I saved $45,000 purchasing the exact same unit in the US as we had on the lot here where I work. (2007 Monaco Camelot 42PDQ).

Yes you can Save Money!! However, on new units purchased in the US the issue you will run into today is, RV Manufactures are now like Auto Manufactures, once you cross the border back to Canada 'No Warranty'. Most of the Dealers in Canada wont even help you unless you purchased the RV from them (even if they sell the exact same unit). And, yes unfortunately I work for one.

Even purchasing a Used RV can still be an issue to get service work done at a Dealer if they know you purchased in the US.

Before you buy in the US, check with your local RV Dealers too see if they will work on your US purchased RV. If you are purchasing a Used RV ask your local dealer about Extended Warranty for the unit you purchased in the US. If the answer is no to these questions, keep checking with other RV Dealers in your area, (Especially the smaller Dealers) as not all Canadian Dealers turn away business..
