Cannot find a second Vin# on my '88 Shasta Revere

Hey there folks!
I could really use some assistance here. I recently purchase an 1988 Shasta Revere, which just so happens to be a company that went out of business about 10 years ago. So manuals and online advice has been scarce.
While I was getting this registered today the DMV required two Vin #'s to identify the vehicle properly. We found one near the drivers door inside the cab, but cannot locate another. Therefore, I cannot get it registered until I find a second.
PLEASE HELP!
I'll be honest this is not the only question I have, but It's a great and necessary one to start with.
Thanks in advance.

For the VIN, I'd suggest taking it to a dealer of the chassis manufacturer. I think yours is built on a Chevy chassis, you can usually tell by the badge on the steering wheel. Someone in the service department can probably locate a VIN plate.

Local dealerships want nothing to do with it.

A little surprised they won't at least tell you where to look, I guess they have so much business they can turn away a future customer. It might be stamped on the top of the frame rail on driver's side above front axle. Not a handy place to look, but it might be in that location.

Looking at a few truck forums, they mentioned the VIN is stamped on the side of the transmission, another one said it's stamped in the crossmember of the radiator, (not sure if they meant upper or lower one) You don't happen to have a piece of paper glued in a cabinet that is a build list for your unit? I also saw a suggestion to have a VIN plate made at someplace that does engraving (Trophy shop, sign shop, jewelry store) then attach it yourself to the frame. I built a boat once and the DNR (Ohio) gave me a metal plate with a number on it with double sided tape. That became my serial number. You found the number one place, I'm sure it matches your title, have a tag made and stick it some place under the hood.
