Can't believe it... crashed into while parked

2am, Saturday morning, off the road in a country area, back away from all major streets, set off from the road, wife and I asleep in the coach with our two cats... when all hell breaks loose... huge noise and the coach is rocked. Jolted out of bed, alarms going off in the coach, glass broken all over the place... shoes are at the front of the coach, electronics dangling out of cabinets or torn off laying on the floor, water and many other fluids everywhere... still trying to get out of the coach to find out what happened... a tree fall on us? Lighting?... Nope, a drunk 24yr old, flying off the road through a field, through a fence, through front yard, over some small trees, over posts and water spigots and wham, right in the front drivers side of our coach. Pushed the coach about four feet. We have been full timers for four years, thousands of miles... no issues, no accidents, nothing.... then this. Just absolutely amazing the senselessness of it all. Cops estimate him traveling about 70 - 90 mph, not an inkling of applying the brakes... he did not have a clue where he was or what he had done... and he might of had just a strained wrist. He has majorly disrupted our lives.

Pictures: First one - where he left the road and went airborne... note coach way back in the distance.
Second one - front end damage
Third - inside mess he made

We are still just amazed and shocked... of it all. A 4000 lb car did all this and moved and rocked a 45000 lb coach... just mind boggling...

Updated per request in post #43

I tried to just edit my first entry, but did not find a way to do so, so sorry if you had to scroll to the bottom to read this... maybe a moderator could edit it and add the following.

Thank you all for all the well wishes... Other than the drama, stress and all the rest of the inconveniences we will have to endure over the next several months, everybody is OK.

We got some news today that the critical part needed for the repair is available, that being the front fiberglass cap (the whole front section). So, our coach, named Susie, is in the hospital for a facelift. She took a drunk's blow, but will be back, looking better than before.

All of the family; wife, cats, Susie and I look forward to crossing paths with all you back out on the road sometime in the future.... which is expected to be around September... or so.

Susie is at the Lazy Days hospital in the Tampa Bay, Fl area. So far, they have been wonderful to deal with, as always with all the dealings we have had with them.

All I can say is thank you all again.... and be careful out there.... there are a lot of dumb people loose out on the streets.

Hope you got a chance to beat him with a tire iron before the cops showed up.

Any bets this is not his first offence of drunk driving and may not have insurance.
I am glad that you and your family are ok.

Sorry to hear of this.

Driving while drunk need the penalties to be very stiff, but with "overcrowding" it just will not happen.

What geographical area did this happen in?
