Captain chair replacement

I have a 2000 Seabreeze that has a very worn driver seat. This motorhome has the seat belt system mounted on the side wall. I bought a set of nice captain chairs (at a price I could not resist, can return if needed) that are the kind with the built in seat belt in the chair. After some research I have noticed this type of seat belt system may not be safe or legal since my coach was designed for the wall mount seat belt system. I assume these newer chairs might need a more reinforced floor for the pedestal mount, although I has pedestals as well. Does anyone have any info on such a modification?

Thanks- Joe

The base that are there will hold the new one fine I've never had to beef anything up because of changing a seat. I take it that yours have the over the shoulder part on the wall then the lap part is on the seat base, you can unbolt the chair from the plate it has 4 nut and bolts under it lift the flaps and you will see them and then bolt the new ones down

Exactly, I just replaced both of mine. Actually we replaced all the seating from this place.

I will have to change the pedestals because the new ones have the "seat belt bar" (seat belt connects to bar on both side of pedestal) and my old ones do not. Sounds like I might be worring over nothing.
