Carefree Omega parts

I am looking for the plastic latch that locks the arm in place for travel on a Catefree Omega slide out topper. Carefree lists it as discontinued/not available. I need 4. Anybody got a lead on these?

Contact these people. If anyone knows where you can get the parts they probably do.

Another place you might try is Shade-Pro in El Cajon California.

I have an Omega II.

Unfortunately, the fabric was damaged in some high winds when the slide out was deployed.

I had to cut the fabric all the way off and let the tube unwind.

I have a new cover, but need to know how many winds it takes to get sufficient spring load so the new fabric winds up on the tube when the slide out is pulled back in.

I put 50 winds on the tube and can still hold it in place with hands.

Anyone know how many winds the tube spring needs. If I don't get it right, the fabric has to be totally removed to put more winds on the spring.

My slide is about 15' long.

50 winds! OMG!

Obviously the spring has been disconnected inside the tube and needs to be re-engaged.

It should only need no more than 15 turns when the slide is closed. Which means that it only needs maybe 22 -23 or so when the slide is deployed.

How are those springs to replace. I do know there is a left and right.

15-20 minute job if you have the proper length ladder.

I buy my springs on Amazon or ebay.
